Fantastic.

"Cubs pitcher Mark Prior will miss the rest of the 2007 season, the team announced on Wednesday. Prior underwent exploratory right shoulder surgery on Tuesday, and Dr. James Andrews got busy while examining the joint. Andrews performed a debridement of Prior's rotator cuff and a repair of the labral and capsular injuries, the Chicago Tribune reported."

What I don't understand is that Prior or Wood have been a complete bust their whole career, yet the Cubs hold on to them as if they were the saviors.
Just let them go already. Go get some new pitching.

Wood was good from 2001-2003, Prior really only had one good year in 2003.

Either way, these guys were pinned as saviors at the end of the 2003 NLCS. Look at how that worked out

I feel sorry for Prior (not so much Wood) but i don't feel sorry for the Cubs. They are idiots

Mark Prior is a fruitcake, and I'm glad he's going to be best remembered for blowing game 6 of the NLCS.

In 2003, when the Cubs were fighting for the NL Central lead, he said he was rooting against the Cardinals even though a Cards win would have helped the Cubs. Real mindset of a champion there, loser.
